Saved Preferences: start every report with your own numbers

Most people change the same assumptions on every report: their down payment, their interest rate, the management fee they actually pay. Saved Preferences lets you save them once. Your default set is applied to every new Property Analysis, so the numbers start out as yours.

What you can save

  • Financing: whether there's a mortgage at all (for cash buyers), down payment as a percent or a dollar amount, interest rate, loan term and closing costs.
  • Operating costs: management fees for long-term and short-term rentals, and whether property taxes and insurance are included.

Anything you don't save keeps the GemHaus values.

How to set it up

  1. Adjust the assumptions on any report. GemHaus offers to save them for future reports.
  2. Or open Saved Preferences in the sidebar and create a set from scratch.
  3. Check the assumptions you want, name the set, and choose whether it's your default.

Using it on a report

A report that uses your preferences shows a "Using saved preferences" chip at the top. Open it to see each assumption next to the GemHaus value it replaced, switch to another set, or remove it. Only that report changes.

Your own edits still count. Change a number on the report after a set is applied, and your edit is the one the report uses.

Good to know

  • Keep up to 20 sets, like "Conservative" or "Cash buyer", and switch between them on any report.
  • Reports without a set can apply one from the same spot at the top of the report.
  • Multifamily reports don't use saved preferences yet.
